Hi, it’s good to meet you. I am Diane Daniels, M.A., Ed.S., Director of Brain Works, educator and educational psychologist with 24 years experience working at the elementary, high school and community college levels. I have been doing auditory training since 2001.
My auditory training background is with the Tomatis Method, LiFT, Dynamic Listening System, The Listening Program and Integrated Listening Systems.
When I was a grade school counselor in Gainesville, FL, I conducted my first auditory training program with portable listening units.
Five of our students, who were falling between the cracks, were in my pilot program. I was amazed at the changes I witnessed during their program. One child, who had not been able to make eye contact, did so by the end of his auditory training, and was able to easily communicate with his peers as he’d never been able to before. A girl who had failed our state assessment test the year before, seemed to “wake up” in her cognitive abilities and was on the honor roll the following year!
Each child was successful in improving attention span, auditory processing, academic skills, sensory integration, mood and self-confidence. After seeing these amazing changes I opened my center in 2001 to offer Tomatis-based auditory training to people of all ages.
In 2008, I expanded my center and named it Brain Works. I added brain training to my offerings, which combines computer cognitive training programs and visual-motor-balance activities with auditory training and stand-alone cognitive training.
My staff and I currently serve toddlers, children, teens, adults and seniors – people all along the age spectrum. We’d love to help you. Please give us a call or email us and find out how we can help you with your needs.
